Rochedale Rovers FC is pleased to advise we are again holding our post-season 6-a-side competition. In 2026 it will run under Football Queensland's Play On Football banner. Play On Football caters for players aged U6 to U13 and is aimed at extending the playing season in a social setting after the regular season has finished.

Age groups will be combined as below, and teams will play 7 rounds plus a finals night.

Teams will consist of a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 10 players.

YOU MAY REGISTER AS A TEAM OR AN INDIVIDUAL - REGISTER BY 7 OCTOBER..

Register as an individual and we will aim to find you a team. Register as a team by listing your team's name, or by listing the other players you would like to play with.

Team details:

U6 - U7:        6-a-side   2 x 15min
U8 - U9:        6-a-side  2 x 15min
U10 - U11:    6-a-side  2 x 15min
U12 - U13:    6-a-side  2 x 15min

U6 - U7 play on a slightly smaller pitch than the other age groups. Kick-off times are consistent every week.

The competition will start on WEDNESDAY 21st October 2026 and finish on WEDNESDAY 9th December 2026.

Competition rules are as per Football Queensland Play On Football small-sided rules. Key points: no offside, no slide tackles, unlimited interchange, and all free kicks are direct. Shin guards are compulsory.

COST:

U6 - U7:   $90 club fee + $35 Football Queensland fee = $125
U8 - U13:  $110 club fee + $35 Football Queensland fee = $145

The club fee is paid through Majestri. The $35 Football Queensland fee is paid separately through Squadi and is capped at once per calendar year. Players who haven't played in a Football Australia governed football program this year, will also need to complete a free Football Australia Play Football registration, and we will send that link with your confirmation.

Players are not eligible to take the field, and are not covered by insurance, until ALL registrations are complete.

Teams will have a manager allocated (unless a parent volunteers) who will be responsible for team communications throughout the season.

Terms and conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to your registration and participation in the Rochedale Rovers Football Club Play On Football Competition:

1. Players, spectators, officials and team administrators must abide by the Football Australia and Football Queensland Play On Football competition rules and Codes of Conduct.

2. Registration fees MUST be paid in full before players will be allowed to play in the competition.

3. ALL players MUST be registered with RRFC in Majestri AND in Squadi for insurance purposes. Players who did not play in the 2026 outdoor season must ALSO complete a free PlayFootball registration. A Football Queensland Play On Football fee of $35 (inc GST) applies to all players and is paid through Squadi. This fee is capped and only payable once per calendar year.

4. Players are not eligible to take the field, and are not covered by insurance, until their Squadi registration and payment are complete.

5. Players registering in the competition take responsibility for their personal fitness and physical suitability to participate in 6 v 6 football.

6. Rochedale Rovers Football Club reserves the right to make reasonable changes to scheduled matches to allow for such things as weather conditions, lack of officials, timetable clashes or to prioritise other matches in other competitions. In such cases reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule matches at a time suitable to both teams.

7. Rochedale Rovers Football Club reserves the right to adjust age groups and categories in order to reasonably manage the competition. This may include capping numbers of teams or joining categories in the event of fewer teams entering than required. Age groups require a minimum of four nominated teams to proceed.

8. Where Rochedale Rovers Football Club cancels an age group or the competition does not proceed, club registration fees will be refunded in full.

9. Refunds will not be redeemable if a player is expelled from the competition for whatever reason.

10. Refunds will not be redeemable should a player no longer wish to participate.

11. Refunds of the $35 Football Queensland fee are administered by Football Queensland, not by Rochedale Rovers Football Club. Requests must be made to Football Queensland prior to the first round of matches and are issued at Football Queensland's discretion.
